Common questions

How many checkups do I get?

There is a daily limit, shown on the main screen before you take a photo. Signing in raises it. You can also earn an extra checkup by watching a short advert, when one is available — this is optional, and nothing else in the app is behind adverts.

The diagnosis looks wrong

Diagnoses are generated by AI from a single photograph, which cannot show roots, soil, or the plant's history. They are a starting point, not a verdict. A clear, well-lit, close photograph of the affected leaves gives the best result. For anything you intend to eat, or a plant that matters to you, check with a local nursery or extension service before acting.

Why did my new photo join an existing plant?

If a photo looks like a plant you already track, the checkup is added to that plant's history so recovery can be compared over time. The app tells you when this happens and offers Different plant to separate it again. You can also long-press a plant in My plants to merge two entries that are really the same plant.

How do I delete my data?

Delete any single checkup or plant from inside the app. To remove everything, go to Settings → Delete my account. That erases your account, plants, photographs and history from our servers, and cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it, or you want a copy of your data first, email the address above.

Adverts and tracking

The app asks once whether it may track you across other companies' apps and websites. Declining is fine — adverts still work, they are just less targeted, and nothing about the diagnoses changes. You can change your mind at any time under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

I cannot sign in

The app works without an account. If Sign in with Apple or Google fails, checkups made on the device are not lost — they stay attached to it, and move across once you do sign in. If it keeps failing, email the address above and say which method you used.
